About
A modern woman with a love of the past, Toronto designer Jessica Rose creates chic timeless fashion in a style that combines a romantic spirit with a modern edge. Drawing inspiration from historical art and design, the aesthetic of her work holds an elegance and femininity that speaks to a desire to connect with another time in our everyday lives.
From clean, flowing silhouettes, to geometric details and bold saturated colours, each piece in the collection is soft, breathable and undeniably feminine. Designed with wearability in mind, styles are figure flattering, and versatile to easily go from daytime to evening.
Biography
Since the start of her fashion career designing and creating costumes in the basement of a small theatrical supply store at age 16, Jessica Rose has always been passionate about her work.
At only 19, Jessica was the top fashion graduate in 2003 from Toronto's International Academy of Design. Seeking a creative position in an inspiring environment, after graduation, she worked as a hat designer for one of Canada's top milliners.
While exploring the narrow streets and alleyways of Paris, France on a romantic holiday, inspiration struck. Seeking to bring the same aesthetic of old world foundations combined with modern design into fashion, Jessica created her first line of loom knit accessories in 2007. By 2009, she was selling internationally and expanded the concept into a women’s wear line in the same modern romantic style.
Jessica Rose currently resides in Toronto, Ontario, and has a studio-boutique in the Distillery District. She is a former resident designer of the Toronto Fashion Incubator.
